  well, i moved out of home to study more and live a "evil" life as my parents call it of going to church to light a candle!

  i did this twice in the last month and i'm supporting a whore!

  and by whore i mean you know babalyon the great!and all apostates are hitchhikers!

  i find it COMPLETELY ILLOGICAL (i even found it a little strange during my heyday in witnessism), that Witnesses always immediately turn down "apostate" info, and say it's full of lies. that combination never sat well with me. if you're sure it's lies, then you don't have anything to fear, nor anything to lose by checking it out, right? you would know that the logic and strength of your faith couldn't be toppled by it anyways. it seems then, that what they fear more, is that they may find themselves in agreement with some of what they read. but if that's the case, then it can only be because the opposing view that they are agreeing with ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE, and they find it to be true, and it becomes a "truth" to them, either supplemental truth, relative truth, or whatever and they can still decide what to do with it. but it's just more comfortable not to face that.

  if a witness agrees to consider opposing views in a complete, logical, and objective way, and afterwards decides he still believes in the witness religion and wants to stay one, well i would respect that decision. it would surprise me that someone would come to that conclusion, but if such is the case, i respect it 100%. but in contrast, holding such a belief blindly and stubbornly, and rejecting anything that hints at disagreeing with your fragile belief out of fear you might lose it, is pure idiocy.

  The effect we are having on the Watchtower is HUGE

  i was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.

  if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.

  I think an undercover apostate was sitting near me at the meeting this afternoon

  this brother was sitting near me today at the hall and when the public speaker started talking about the signs of the last days this guy started whispering something to his wife and kind of mocking the speaker in a quiet voice.

  his wife looked really pissed off.. i've suspected this guy before by some of the stuff he's said and done and some of the #3 talks hes given he's gone off the assigned topic quite a bit.. during the wt study i was doing mics and i happened to walk by him several times.

  his wt was on the floor and his bible was opened to topic for conversation at the end of the bible at the last days part.. a little while later his wife gave him the look and said something to him and he picked up his unprepared wt and followed along.. hoser.

  went to KH this PM to check brochure stock to see if there had been a revised release. almost grabbed entire stack and threw them in trash

  if i had access to that i'd make a stamp that simply says jwfacts.com and stamp the back page of every WT and awake.

  what most got me in this brochure is on the page where it approximately says (sorry i dont have it with me right now) something about the real conflict isn't between science and the bible, but between science and false religious traditions or teachings, and point the finger to christian fundementalists. then it says, but let's see what the Bible says about creation (instead of: now let's see what jehovah's witnesses believe about creation)

  V665, your questions are worded in a way more applicable to ones who have completed their fade and are out, not active faders, but here goes.

  how determined are you to never return to life as a JW?

  well i'm not "out" yet, so that would have to happen before thinking of returning. but i have played out the scenarios in my head, and returning MIGHT be a possibility, depending on how horribly it goes out there in "the world" and how much i miss the people, but it would never be a faith-based return and all the attitudes that go together with that.

  Do you still miss old JW "friends"?

  Do you miss the company of JW relatives?

  again, i'm not out so i still have association with friends and relatives. but yes, this is without a doubt the biggest (if not ONLY) thing still keeping me in, albeit now hanging by a few threads.

  Do even the smallest of thoughts that maybe, just maybe, the JWs are right about some things, still haunt the darkest corners of you mind?

  only verrrry occasionally. i had one just a few days ago, but now i can't think of it right now. i was actually going to post it as a question here but didn't want to sound like a JW apologist hehe.

  Do you still have the occasional nightmare about dying during the big A?
